DMPR Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DMPR (the "App"), bundle identifier me.linjun.Dampr, handles information when you install and use the App. DMPR is a monochrome camera app that provides a live viewfinder, photo capture, local monochrome processing, recent-photo management, and user-initiated sharing.

DMPR is designed to work locally on your device. It does not require a separate account, does not use a backend service for normal app operation, and does not include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

1. Data and device features the App uses

• Camera: The App uses the device camera to provide a live monochrome viewfinder and capture photos. Permission prompt text: "DMPR needs camera access to provide a live monochrome viewfinder and capture photos."
• Photo Library: The App can save finished monochrome photos to the system photo library and can request photo library access so you can manage photos saved from the App. Permission prompt text: "DMPR saves your finished monochrome photos to the system photo library." and "DMPR needs photo library access to let you manage photos saved from the app."
• Local image processing: The App applies monochrome filters and tone adjustments locally on your device using Apple system imaging frameworks. Photos are not sent to a server for processing.
• Local storage: The App stores recent captured photos and an index of those recent photos inside the App's local container on your device. It may also store simple local preferences, such as camera control placement.
• Photo metadata: The App may embed recipe information in saved JPEG files, such as the App name and selected filter, look, and tone. This metadata travels with the image file if you export or share that file.
• Sharing: The App can present the system share sheet when you choose to share a photo. The destination you choose, such as another app or service, handles the shared data under its own terms and privacy practices.

2. What the App collects or stores

• Photos you capture: Captured images can be stored in the App's local recents area and, when you save them, in your system photo library.
• Recent-photo index data: The App stores local metadata needed to show and manage recent photos, such as file references and recipe details.
• Recipe metadata: Saved images may include embedded metadata describing the selected monochrome recipe, including filter, look, and tone.
• Preferences: The App may store local settings, such as the preferred side for camera controls in compact layouts.

The App does not create user accounts and does not collect account credentials, payment card details, location data, contacts, or microphone recordings.

3. How the App uses and shares data

The App uses camera access, image processing, local storage, photo library access, and sharing only to provide its core camera features: preview, capture, process, save, manage, and share monochrome photos.

DMPR does not transmit your photos, local recent-photo index, preferences, or recipe metadata to a backend service during normal app operation. The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.

If you choose to share a photo through the system share sheet, the selected destination may receive the photo and any metadata embedded in the file. That sharing is initiated by you and is outside DMPR's control after you select the destination.

4. Third-party services and SDKs

The App uses Apple system frameworks, such as AVFoundation, Photos, CoreImage, ImageIO, UIKit, and related system APIs. DMPR does not include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

The App does not currently offer in-app purchases, subscriptions, separate app accounts, NFC features, cloud sync, push notifications, location features, contacts access, or backend networking.

5. Data retention and deletion

Photos saved to the system photo library remain in your photo library until you delete them using the Photos app or other system tools. Deleting DMPR does not automatically delete photos already saved to your photo library.

Photos and index data stored inside the App's local container are stored on your device. Deleting the App from your device removes app-local data managed by iOS, subject to normal system behavior.

Because DMPR does not operate a user-account backend, we do not maintain a server-side account database for you to request deletion from.

6. Your privacy rights

• Access: You can access saved photos in the Photos app and recent app photos through the App interface where available.
• Deletion: Delete photos from the Photos app to remove copies saved to your system photo library. Delete the App to remove app-local data stored in its container.
• Export: You can export or share photos using the system share sheet when the App offers that action.

7. Security

DMPR stores app data locally on your device and relies on iOS system protections for app containers and photo library access. No method of storage is perfect, but the App is designed to avoid unnecessary collection or transmission of your photos and related data.

8. Children

App Store age rating: 4+. The App is appropriate for users aged 4 and older according to App Store guidelines.

We do not knowingly target or collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when this document was last revised.
